Adam Muntner, CISSP
Adam has over 14 years of information technology management experience, with the most recent 9 years of that being dedicated solely to security. Adam developed QuietMove’s technical penetration testing, web application assessment, gap analysis methodology, and overall security strategy based on his experience in the Information Security trenches.
In the past, Adam served as the Information Security Officer for a publicly traded company with offices in 12 countries, was an Ethical Hacking Subject Matter Expert at IBM, and developed security service offerings for other security consultancies. He worked with QuietMove co-founder Jeffrey Rassas to build The Linux Store brand inside Ebiz Enterprises, conceptualizing the Linux brand and launching it’s R&D efforts.
Adam speaks regularly at Information Security conferences. Recent examples have included the Information Security Summit, SecureSD, Texas Regional Infrastructure Security Conference, Infragard, many ISSA conferences, and online for Ziff Davis Media.
Being focused on Information Security, Adam is a current member of professional organizations including ISSA and Infragard, is the co-founder of the Phoenix OWASP (Open Web Application Security Project) chapter, and is a contributing guest blogger on the popular website Security Catalyst. He also serves on the advisory board to Dynatek Media, the market leader in remotely managed Digital Signage solutions.
Jeffrey Rassas
Jeffrey Rassas A 20-year veteran of business ventures and management, Jeffrey Rassas joined QuietMove as a Founding Partner. Over the course of his career, Rassas has had extensive experience in funding, leading, developing and performing corporate turnarounds for many start-up ventures across a variety of industries, both private and public. Key examples include: Auction Express (www.Auction-Express.com), Tolis Group (www.tolisgroup.com – formerly Bru Software), MicroSupply/Channel Pros (www.microsupply.com – www.channelpros.net), eTechLogix, Inc. (www.etechlogix.com), and Global Security Alerts, operators of the Amber Alert Portal (www.amberalert.com), Earth911.com, and Pets911.com.
Recently, Mr. Rassas served as Co-chairman and CEO of ImproveNet, Inc. (publicly traded/IMPV; www.improvenet.com), which he acquired through a merger in 2002. Rassas’ strategic vision and execution led to industry recognition of the company as “Best of Web” in 2003 by Money Magazine. In 2005, he sold the company to Interactive Commerce Corporation (IACI - www.iac.com), the holding company of many popular websites such as LendingTree, Ask.com, Match.com, Citysearch.com, ServiceMagic.com, and Ticketmaster, delivering a substantial return on shareholder equity.
From 1997-2001, Mr. Rassas served as founder, CEO, and Chairman of the Board of publicly traded EBIZ Enterprises, a Linux solutions provider. Mr. Rassas expanded company operations, yielding revenues in excess of $58 million. In addition, Mr. Rassas raised over $20 million dollars and took the company public in 1998.
Prior to EBIZ, Mr. Rassas built an office services outsourcing firm for Fortune 1000 companies from being a one-man operation to being a multi-state company 200 employees. It was purchased by Parcelway/Dynamex, a division of Air Canada.
A two-time finalist for Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year award, Mr. Rassas has been a guest speaker at Thunderbird, the Garvin School of International Management, serves on several outside boards, continues to speak at technology trade events around the nation. Mr. Rassas holds a degree in electrical engineering from DeVry University.
James G. (Jim) Garvey, Jr.
James G. Garvey, Jr., now a Partner at QuietMove, founded Integrated Information Systems, Inc. (formerly IISX) in 1989 and served as it’s President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman of the Board since inception.
While leading the high-growth technology firm for 15 years, Mr. Garvey was been recognized by the Arizona Software Association as CEO of the Year in 1999 and by Ernst & Young for Technology/eBusiness Entrepreneur of the Year in 2000.
Mr. Garvey serves on the Dean’s Advisory Counsel for the ASU Engineering College and the Advisory Board for the ASU Center for Services Marketing. He has also taught an Entrepreneurship Course for the ASU College of Engineering and Applied Science. In addition, Mr. Garvey is a member of the Information Technology Services Marketing Association and the Institute for Industrial Engineers.
Mr. Garvey graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Industrial Engineering from Arizona State University and has completed graduate studies at Arizona State University in computer integrated manufacturing, software development and database design. He is professionally certified in Systems Integration by the Institute of Industrial Engineers.
